| | Cricket: The T20 World Cup | 05-06-2009 19:05:00 | The T20 ICC World Cup is underway again with explosive action from all the international stars! India beat Pakistan to win the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa and would like to do well again but will face stiff competition from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand all who have a great chance. The hosts, England, are quietly confident but the bookies say South Africa or India at 4-1, with Scotland furthest out at a 1000-1.
The final will be staged at Lord's on Sunday 21 June. With four groups of three, the top two from each group go through to the Super Eights which will be made up of two groups of four. From there the top two from each of those groups go into the semi-finals to be played at Trent Bridge and The Oval.
India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the tournament favourites to an impressive nine-wicket win over fellow 2007 finalists Pakistan in Wednesday's warm-up, but said the formbook should be thrown out of the window when it comes to the shortest format of the professional game.
All the matches can be seen live on MyP2P, follow the action but don't forget to drop by and discuss in the Official Forum thread.

| | FC Barcelona: Champions of Europe | 27-05-2009 23:30:00 | Or as the Spanish say: Campeones de Europa!
FC Barcelona were crowned European champions for a third time and the second in four seasons as a vibrant display of pass and move, capped by goals in either half from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi, defeated Manchester United FC in Rome. Barcelona claimed Europe's top club prize with a 2-0 win in Rome's Stadio Olimpico.
United started the final brightly but were stunned on 10 minutes when Samuel Eto'o skipped into the box and poked the ball past Edwin van der Sar. Barca almost doubled their lead just after the break when Xavi smashed his free-kick of Van der Sar's post - but the Catalan giants did not have long to wait for their second.
Brilliant work from Xavi on the right saw him pick out Lionel Messi with a sublime cross and the Argentine superstar rose unmarked to head home from eight-yards - his first ever goal against English opposition. The defending champions were left shell-shocked as Barca played out time in the Eternal City and sealed their third European title.
It wasn't a great match but it did get a deserved winner, with FC Barcelona taking the Uefa Champions League title season 2008/2009. Barca also did take the Spanish League and Cup title, so a true treble for them.
The poll was a close go;
1. FC Barcelona 52%
2. Manchester United 48%
It didn't look like that earlier today and in the evening as most were expecting Man Utd to take the win, but it was a close call all the time with most people expecting a great close game. It didn't turn out that close but it was worth watching.
For now we conclude with the congratulations to Barca and all their fans;
Congrats Barca!

MyP2P.eu :: The UEFA Champions League - FC Barcelona vs. Manchester United
The Preview
The two best teams in Europe are in the battle tomorrow to see who's the best of Europe in this 2008/2009 football season. The top sides of England and Spain, both Champions in their own league recently, means ofcourse high expectations. The two superpowers both want to catch the greatest prize to get for an European club.
If you see the upcoming game and think about these two great teams it looks like a football dream, but it will always be a surprise to see if both teams can reach up these expectations and live up to their reputations. Both teams have some great attacking players, some say the best of the world, so hopefully the game doesn't go flat with a defensive chess game.
The battle tomorrow will be Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney vs Lionell Messi, Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry. Can they both show some fantastic play again and an present all fans an awesome evening? We will have to wait and find out, but the recent games between Chelsea and Barca shown us also that the Barca starts didn't enhance their skills in the Semis. Manchester United didnt play easy games all the time either. But can their defense keep up with the Barca attacking skills? If Manchester Utd can play like Chelsea did but also show their attacking skill, then it will become a tough night for Barca and we all knows how that can turn out. Let's hope at least we see some great play, the attacking skills of both teams and ofcourse a great fair football battle.
We can talk hours more about the past games, stats, historical info, predictions and alot more; but we feel you can discuss this better with all the other fans and those who follow the two teams as the most important thing in their life. You can do so on our MyP2P Forum - Man Utd v Barcelona Topic.
Enjoy the Uefa Champions League Final!
| | Super Sunday | 24-05-2009 10:05:00 | It's for sure a Super Sunday today, with alot of great events that you can't or may not miss. Here's a short overview and preview to some of the great events today. Ofcourse you can also watch alot of other events, but we want to highlight some of them.
The English Premiere League final round
Today the final round of the EPL season 2008/2009 will be played. The Barclays Premier League season reaches a thrilling conclusion on Sunday with all eyes on the survival struggle. But it's also worth to take a look at the top of the league to see who takes which European Cup spot for next season.
After Manchester United wrapped up the title last week, the spotlight falls on the battle to stay in the top flight with four teams striving to avoid joining West Bromwich Albion in the Championship. Middlesbrough are in greatest jeopardy, they need to win at West Ham United and hope other results go their way. They need Newcastle United to fail to win and Hull City to lose with a five-goal swing in Boro's favour. If Hull wins and Sunderland pick up a point at home to Chelsea then Newcastle will be relegated, regardless of their own result. A draw at Aston Villa would keep Newcastle up if Hull City lose at home to Manchester United while a victory for the Geordies would see them stay up if Sunderland lose or Hull fail to win. Victory for Hull would make them safe while the Black Cats know a point would be enough.
The other major outstanding issue is the race for the final Europa League spot with Fulham currently holding the whip-hand. Roy Hodgson's men host FA Cup finalists Everton knowing they need to match or better Tottenham Hotspur's result at Liverpool in order to claim seventh place. Liverpool need a point against Harry Redknapp's men to be sure of finishing as runners-up. If they fail to, Chelsea might catch the runner up spot but they need to win then. It promises to be a great day so follow it all live and free!

The Scottish Premier League final round
Today also the Scottish Premier league has it's final round of the season 2008/2009. The title race hasn't been decided yet, as there are still two games to be played; Dundee vs Rangers and Celtic vs Hearts. Celtic go into Sunday's home match with Hearts needing a victory to have any chance of claiming a fourth successive Clydesdale Bank Premier League title. Rangers on the other hand are bidding to win the Clydesdale Bank Premier League crown for the fifth time since the SPL began in 1998 when they take on Dundee United at Tannadice. At the moment Rangers leads the ranking with 83 points (GD of +46), followed by Celtic with 81 points (GD of +47). So it promises to be a great final round, both games live and free at 1pm UK;

The Indy 500; The greatest spectacle in Racing!
Another event which you may not miss is the Indy 500, held at the oval of the Indianapolis Speedway in the USA. It's the second biggest annual sports event in the USA so it's a definately "must watch" event.
The Indianapolis 500 starts at 1pm EST (19:00CET/18:00UK) today in the world's largest spectator sporting facility. With over 250,000 seats, the track has almost triple the capacity of the Coliseum or Rose Bowl. Expectations are high this weekend thanks to the unification of two rival auto racing series. Since Ray Harroun won the first Indy 500 in 1911, the race has been one of the measuring sticks by which racers have rated their skills.
A look at past champions is a who's who of open-wheel racers. The Borg Warner trophy features names such as Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Jim Clark, Al Unser, Ary Luyendijk and Jacques Villeneuve. It's the desire to join this exclusive winners club that makes the event one of the most important on the racing calendar.
The 2009 edition features a great mix of rookie and veteran drivers as well as some legendary teams hoping to make it to the winner's circle. This is a difficult race to win, make no mistake. With an average speed of around 225 mph and a distance of 500 miles, it is both a sprint and a marathon. Any small mistake can cost you the race, or worse.
The Indianapolis 500 always lives up to its title "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." It retains and celebrates its history as the pinnacle of open-wheeled racing in North America.
In the past seven of eight years, if you did not drive for Roger Penske, Chip Ganassi, or Michael Andretti, you were not going to win. So that seems a logical place to start. Team Penske are the ones to look at with on the first row Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe, immediately followed by Team Ganassi with Dario Franchitti. We find his teammate on the second row, Scott Dixon, the defending champion. He's on the fitfh spot just behind Graham Rahal from team Newman/Haas. Starting sixth is Team Andretti-Green driver Tony Kanaan. Kanaan is the best driver in the series to never win the 500. Tony is a great driver, and Team Andretti-Green has won this event in the past, so he has a chance but will need some good luck to make it to winners circle. Also many people will be looking at Marco Andretti and ofcourse the beautifull lady Danice Patrick. The Dutchies will be looking at Robert Doornbos, the rookie who did suffer two crashes already, and he ended up in the third qualifying on position 23. But everything can happen in the race, the weather looks not that bad with a partly sunny day, a temperature of 82F (28 degrees celsius) but also a chance on some showers/thunderstorms. Follow all the action live and free!

| | German Bundesliga: The final round | 23-05-2009 10:29:00 | Update: Poll result;
German Bundesliga Meister (Champion)?
1. VFL Wolfsburg 1504 65%
2. Bayern Munchen 491 21%
3. VFB Stuttgart 253 11%
4. Hertha BSC 58 3%
The Champion is Wolfsburg after a great win in their own stadium. Congrats! Don't forget there are still some matches coming up, with the German Cup (DFB Pokal) and the relegation/promotion game. All to follow live on Myp2p!
Today it's the final day of the German Bundesliga season 2008/2009. The football season across Europe is getting to it's end, and in Germany it's an exciting final of a wonderfull season. Today the last games, all together starting at 15:30CET. There are two simulcasts; one with only the top four of the league, and there should be also Premiere links with all action. Don't miss it and follow it all live and free. MyP2P.eu :: German Bundesliga schedules, watch live German Bundesliga on your pc. Read below for more info about this matchround.
Who will become Champion?
At the top of the league there are still four teams in the race for the title. VFL Wolfsburg is leading the table and is a big surprise this season. The most goals made, easy scoring and a good team. Today they will play against the number 10, Bremen. A win for Wolfsburg means they ake the title, with a draw goals start counting and Bayern should make 7 goals more. Werder doesnt have much to get. They lost the uefa Cup final so maybe they want to show their skills and win the last game of their season. But Wolfsburg home, Werder not in need of anything, a clean win and a title for the VFL?
Another great game is the one between Bayern Munchen and VFB Stuttgart. A real big game to end the season with, the number 2 vs number 3. Both are still in the race for the title, but then one of them has to win. If they draw then Wolfsburg will become champion, no matter what. But it's also about the direct CL placing or a CL qualifying ticket. A draw means that Hertha BSC could catch up if they win and take the 2nd place, and then Bayern will go to place 3, Stuttgart to 4. Hertha BSC will play an away game at Karlsruhe SC, and just need a win and wait what the others do. Karlsruhe is still fighting against relegation. As you can see everything is open in this last matchround at the top of the league.
Standings:
[1. Wolfsburg, 66 points]
[2. Bayern Munchen, 64 points]
[3. VFB Stuttgart, 64 points]
[4. Hertha BSC, 63 points]
[5. Borussia Dortmund, 58 points]
[6. HSV, 58 points].
The first two will make it to the CL, the 3rd plays CL Qualifying, and number 4 and 5 the Euro League Qualifying. Number 6 get's nothing, as the Cup winner get's an EL ticket.
What happens at the bottom of the league?
At the bottom of the table its also pretty exciting. We mentioned Karlsruhe already, who will play a home game against Hertha and as they're at the bottom of the league Karlsruhe needs a win. Cottbuss, the number 17 of the table, also needs a win to get out of direct relegation, and even many goals to be safe at all. Bielefeld, the number 16 of the table, will see Hannover visiting them. Also Bielefeld needs to win and if they lose they can even relegate directly. With a win (and goals will start counting as they've made 3 goals less then number 15) they could become safe. The number 15 we're talking about is Borussia M'Gladbach, who can survive with a draw today, or maybe also a small loss would be enough. They need at least a point but with a home game against Dortmund it won't be easy, as Dortmund is still in the race for an Europe League spot and they need a win. But it also depends on what HSV does to see what Dortmund takes or gets.
Standings:
[15. Borussia M'Gladbach, 30 points]
[16. Bielefeld, 27 points]
[17. Cottbus, 27 points]
[18. Karlsruhe, 26 points]
This season the last two will relegate directly, and the 3rd last will play a playoff game agains the third ranked 2. Bundesliga team.
