|  | Champions League Results | 16-04-2009 11:20:00 | After two great days of Champions League football the semi finalists are known;
28th April / 6th May; Barcelona vs Chelsea
29th April / 5th May; Man United vs Arsenal
As you can see three English teams reached the semis, and only one Spanish team made it. The Quarter finals have been great, especially the Chelsea vs Liverpool game from Tuesday. After a wonderfull match it ended in a 4-4 draw, with both sides having the chances to reach the next round all the time, but it was Chelsea who made it. The 1-3 away win in Liverpool made it more easy. Barcelona had no problem in Munich against Bayern. After a 4-0 home win a 1-1 draw was enough to reach the semis in which they will meet Chelsea.
On Wednesday Man Utd got an early goal against FC Porto (in Porto), and that was enough in the end after a 2-2 draw in the first game. In the semis Man Utd will receive Arsenal, who beaten Villarreal with 3-0, after the away game has been more difficult with a 1-1 draw.
It's always nice to look back at the votes in our Poll. We asked you to answer what the "Best Champions League game of the Quarter Finals" would be;
1. Man Utd vs Porto 5160 25%

In the end 37% was right, altough thats from a neutral side seen. For all fans their team will remain the best and the most interesting game when they play. All games were good, but there was only one the best to receive a place in Uefa all times best games, and that was Chelsea vs Liverpool.
Anyways, in two weeks back in action again with the semi finals. Something to look forward to for sure. For the upcoming weeks don't forget tonights Uefa Cup Quarter Finals and all League games. Or one of the other great sports to watch and enjoy as the NHL and the NBA are in the Playoffs, and the MLB just started. Not to forget all of the Other sports!

Manchester United vs FC Porto
A big clash to look forward to. And after last weekends 3-2 win by Man Utd over Aston Villa they only had 48 hours to prepare for this game. The opponent of Man Utd is FC Porto, who archieved their eight consecutive away league win last Saturday. Porto will play for the win, and with Manchester United playing at Old Trafford we will see two teams fighting for this first game. The return is 8 days later...
Villarreal vs Arsenal
Villarreal is ranked fourth on La Liga, and with a 0-3 loss last Saturday against number twelve Almeria they might have a lack of confidence, but it's sure they want to get a win today to forget about the defeat. Villarreal believes they can make it into the semi finals, and with former Gunner Pires they're going to fight for it. Arsenal on the other hand is also ranked fourth in the Premier League. Their win last Saturday over Man City made them stronger but they aint underestimating Villarreal. This match can be a 50-50 match, said Wenger so we can expect to see two great teams aiming at the win. Also this return is in 8 days...

Liverpool vs Chelsea
Wednesday is a bigger day, with ofcourse this great clash between the Reds and the Blues. The currently second and third ranked teams of the Premier League will meet eachother for the fourth time in five CL seasons. Since 2005 there have been eight encounters between these two major teams; each side won two games.
Looking at the teams you could imagine this is a CL final, but in fact it's still a Quarter Final match to be coming up. Both Chelsea and Liverpool gained a league win last weekend, the one more luckier then the other. But thats football. Magic Guus will prepare his team for a win, Benitez ofcourse hopes to see Pool playing like they did against Real Madrid. Again at Anfield, this promises to be a great game. The return will be played 6 days later at Stamford Bridge.
FC Barcelona vs Bayern Munchen
Another game which could be the final of the Champions League. Both teams are known for their goals this CL season, so we can only hope this game will show us another game with many goals. Both teams have made 24 goals out of 8 games, 3 goals in every game. Bayern reached the QF by a 13-1 aggregate win over Sporting Lisbon, where Barca beaten Lyon with 6-3. Goals, Goals and more Goals, that's something which you can expect from this game. But in the world of football you never know. Players to lookout for are Messi,Henry, Eto'o and on the other side Ribery, Toni. Last weekend games weren't great for both teams, where Barca got a 0-1 win away over Valladolid. Bayern was defeated with 5-1 at Wolfsburg.
Two great games coming up, the first one in Camp Nou and the return will be at the Allianz Arena 6 days later.

| | European Summertime started | 29-03-2009 09:00:00 | This night the European DST has started, the summertime. But what does that mean for you? The clock went forward 1h in Europe this early sunday morning 2am. In most parts of Europe the time went from 2am to 3am. So don't forget to change your normal clocks an hour otherwise you're always an hour early for the games ;)
Our servers went also forward an hour and the standard timezone will remain CET, but then +02:00. As the CET timezone went from +01:00 to +02:00. What does this mean for you? A few secanario's on what to do.
My Clock didn't change an hour at all
- You don't have to do anything then. Just leave it as you got it right now. If you're registered you've to got to your profile to set it right again. Login, then set your timezone right and you're ready to go again.
My Clock changed an hour also
- London/United Kingdom :: Put your timezone at +01:00 (UK/BST)
- Central Europe/Amsterdam/Paris/Rome/Berlin :: Put your timezone at +02:00 (CET), our standard servertime also
- Eastern Europe :: Put your timezone at +03:00 (EET)
It's too difficult for me, what to do now?
- Take a deap breath. Now look at our servertime on top of the website. It displays the time we use for our schedules, as a standard.
- Take a look at your pc clock or your local clock.
- The difference between those will be the difference from the +02:00.
Example: It's 10:00 on the servertime, my clock displays 3:00. Then count 7 hours from the +2 makes it -5. You select the CST timezone.
Example: It's 10:00 on the servertime, my clock displays 15:00. Then count 5 hours to the +2 makes it +7. So you select as timezone the +07:00.

Enjoy all games today! | | Japan wins the WBC 2009 | 24-03-2009 11:32:00 | The Land of the Rising Sun has won the World Baseball Classis Trophy 2009 after beating Korea with 5-3 last night. It's the second straight title for the Japanese Baseball Team and they can call themselves for sure the king of global baseball. It was the fifth clash between Japan and Korea on this WBC. They met eachother in the group stage and after facing eachother four times it was a 2-2 draw. The fifth game turned out in a 10 inning game with a close win for Japan.
Overall this WBC was a great succes and it carved out a global presence. It will return in March 2013 and it promises to grow and become bigger and bigger in the next edition. Every Four years they want to run the WBC now, after the first edition in 2006 asked for more.
The skill level of many of the nations that are newcomers to baseball has increased in the past three years. The Netherlands moved into the second round. Italy, Australia and China all won first-round games against more established baseball-past nations. Ofcourse Korea and Japan have been dominating like often, but with Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the USA it's always a strong tournament.
The next edition in 2013 should be played again in March, as the officials stated. The competition format will probably be tweaked a bit with 24 teams participating.
