| | The Cheltenham Festival 2009 | 09-03-2009 19:41:00 | The Cheltenham Festival (horse racing) is ready for it's start. The Cheltenham Festival is the most prestigious meeting in the National Hunt racing calendar in the United Kingdom and has race prize money second only to the Grand National. It is an event where many of the best British and Irish trained horses race against each other, the extent of which is relatively rare during the rest of the season. It's a must watch and follow event for all fans of this great sport.
This years event will start tomorrow on Tuesday March 10 and will contain 4 days, untill Friday 13th March 2009. Racing starts at 1.30pm each day this year, with the feature race of each day now the fourth contest on the card. Total Prize Money in 2009 is £3.56m, an astonishing average of almost £140,000 for each Festival race. That's alot, and this festival is also known for it's large amounts of bets being made.

IMPORTANT: The United States have turned their clocks one (1) hour ahead for Daylight Saving Time today on the March 8, 2009, . The European Union will turn their clocks one (1) hour ahead for Daylight Saving Time on March 29, 2009. So we will have a 3 weeks of difference for all USA visitors.
Keep this in mind when looking up the scheduled listings. Everyone in the US can adust their timezones so you got the right display again. On top of our site change it 1 hour ahead, which means if you're using EST on -05:00 you will have to select -04:00 hours. Or from -06:00 to -05:00 hours. Or if that's too difficult; right on top we got the servertime, that's CET (+1). Just look on your pc clock, and count the difference and then select the timezone. Example: It displays right now 10:00 servertime, my pc says it's 7:00, so a 3 hour difference so we select the -02:00 (+1-3=-2).
From the 29th March it's all fine again as Europe changes, but that influences Asia. We will update you once again by then.

From the 5th March untill the 23rd March one of the most entertaining international baseball competitions will take place. Cities all over the world will host the Group Stage, followed by the final stages in the USA.
The World Baseball Classic 2009 will be held during the MLB Spring Training and it will again feature a large number of Major league players. Not all, as some didn't get permission from their teams to play in this WBC event.
This year the sixteen teams have been split into four pools of four teams each:
Pool A (Tokyo); China, Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Korea
Pool B (Mexico City); Australia, Cuba, Mexico, South Africa
Pool C (Toronto); Canada, Italy, USA, Venezuela
Pool D (San Juan); Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Panama, Puerto Rico
The top two teams of each pool will advance to the second round, where another Pool A and B will be made. This stage will be held in San Diego and Miami. After that the best two teams of each group will go to the semifinals and finals, held in the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
Almost three weeks of great baseball action to start the new Baseball Season 2009 with. A great year of baseball coming up again with ofcourse the MLB from the 5th April. But that's not everything, we will also try to provide links for the Japanese, Chinese and Korean Leagues. First enjoy the Baseball Classic and Spring Training. Myp2p wins court case!!!
We finally got our judgment in the legal proceedings. Finally we can give you more information. The main important message is that we won the case.
On Thursday the 5th of February we had a court case in the Court of Roermond (Netherlands) against C More Entertainment AB regarding the seven competitions earlier mentioned. C More is, as some of you might know, a Swedish company which, among others, exploits the Canal+ brand in the Scandinavian countries.
And we won the case against C More! The Dutch court ruled that C More mistakenly initiated injunction proceedings because the case was to complicated, both factually as well as legally. C More was ordered to repay us all our legal costs. We know it has been a long wait so we would like to thank you for all the support in the past weeks. It was worth it.

| | Legal Proceedings Update - Forum open again | 11-02-2009 12:00:00 | We’re back again: the forum is online!!!
We’ve had some legal issues in the past weeks which are, unfortunately, not quite over. We’re of course still of the opinion that we don’t do anything wrong or illegal with our website. But for reasons beyond our control, we sometimes have to make tough decisions, how hard or how frustrating this may be.
A wise man once said: “You can be right, but it’s a different story to get your rights”.
Most important change on Myp2p is that there will be no more links to the Dutch Eredivisie Competition. It is not allowed to post messages with Eredivisie links anywhere on the site or the forum.
Until further notice, there will be no more links to the other competitions mentioned earlier (Premier League, Serie A, NHL, Elitserien, SM-Liiga and Allsvenskan). We are still awaiting a judgement regarding these. We do think we have a very strong case, but keep your fingers crossed!
